Peter Gail

Hi I'm Peter, an Electrical Engineer at Doppelmayr USA, graduated from the University of UTAH. I worked with several companies, handled programming and troubleshooting complex machinery and drive systems. Handling laser cutters was just my passion that finally converted into a business. With our professional help, a total 27 laser crafters has been successfully running their business that ultimately served more than 10,000 happy customers worldwide.

UV laser vs Fiber Laser

UV laser vs fiber laser

UV lasers use ultraviolet light for high precision and minimal thermal impact on delicate materials, while fiber lasers use optical fibers to amplify light, providing high power and efficiency for cutting and engraving tougher materials like metals. The debate between UV laser and fiber laser technologies has been ongoing for some time now. While they both offer unique advantages and features, the debate comes down to which one is the better choice in terms of performance, cost, and versatility. In this article, we will explore the differences between the two technologies and discuss the pros and cons associated with each.  We will also examine the applications for which each technology is best suited. With this information, you can make an informed decision about which one is the right choice for you.…

6 Best Handheld Laser Engravers

Best handheld portable laser engraver

Portable lasers are available in the price range of $600 to $2500. The price varies depending on the power and material adaptability. Most people choose a portable diode + infrared laser for larger material compatibility while some people still prefer…

MOPA vs Q-switched Fiber laser machine

MOPA vs q switched laser machine

MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) fiber laser is becoming so popular due to the ability of color engraving & stainless steel marking.  MOPA fiber laser is capable of producing higher power output than other types of fiber lasers. It consists of two parts, the master oscillator, and the power amplifier. The master oscillator is the device that generates the initial optical pulse, which is then amplified by the power amplifier. The amplified pulse is then passed through the laser cavity to create the desired output power. The main advantage of MOPA fiber laser is that it can produce higher output power than other types of fiber lasers. This is due to the fact that the power amplifier can be configured to achieve a high gain and thus amplify the pulse to the desired power level. In addition, the master oscillator can be tuned to produce narrow linewidth output. This allows for more precise control of the output power and the ability to produce higher power levels than other types of lasers. Besides, MOPA fiber laser is also capable of producing higher pulse energies than other types of lasers. This is due to the fact that the power amplifier can be configured to maintain a high gain over a wide range of pulse energies. This allows for more efficient use of energy and thus more power output from the laser. MOPA fiber Vs Q-Switched fiber laser Both MOPA and the…
